Thank you for considering The Side Porch at Mike Anderson's Seafood for your upcoming event. Following, you will find general information on The Side Porch, menu selections, and bar options. If you have never attended a function on The Side Porch. I encourage you to call and make an appointment to come and view it. We consider it one of Baton Rouge’s best kept secrets.
The Side Porch is an outside dining area connected to our restaurant. Waterfalls and fountains combined with tropical plants create the perfect ambiance for your next function, South Louisiana at its best! The Side Porch comfortably seats 72 guests; however, arrangements can be made to seat more. We discourage groups over 90. The area is also covered so rain is not a concern. Sit under our 27 ceiling fans and enjoy South Louisiana breezes along with piped in air conditioning. This area can also be heated when it gets cooler.
The Side Porch was originally designed as an overflow waiting area for our customers. It was so well received by our regular patrons Mr. Anderson had to add on to the Porch to accommodate the numerous requests for private parties. We began by hosting crawfish boils and have expanded to include functions with a full buffet line. The Side Porch has become the perfect facility to host a variety of events. Birthday parties, reunions, corporate parties, rehearsal dinners, small wedding receptions, and high school banquets are only some of the possibilities. Whether it is a rehearsal dinner, a corporate crawfish boil, a luau, or something of your own imagination, we can create it!

If your guest count is a bit shy of the above, we do make allowances at certain times of the year, with prior arrangement. We ask for your final number of guests 4 days prior to your function so final arrangements can be made.

PRICING
All prices will be guaranteed once final arrangements have been made. A fifteen- percent gratuity and applicable sales tax will automatically be charged on all functions. A Banquet Set Up Fee of $100.00 must be paid in advance to reserve The Side Porch. This fee is nonrefundable and will not be applied toward your final bill.
MENUS
The printed menu attached is suggested for your consideration; or we can tailor a menu for your specific needs and quote-specific prices. You are the customer and we work around your needs. Your menu selection, room set-up requirements and all other arrangements need to be discussed and finalized with us at least two weeks prior to the function.
EXTRAS
Microphones and podiums are available at no cost to you. If you need additional audio-visual equipment we can direct you to local providers. Please make arrangements for flowers, entertainment, invitations, photographers, bakers, etc. However, for a fee, we can decorate The Side Porch for you and will be more than happy, to try to meet whatever other needs you may have.

Your evening will start off with guests mingling around a station set up with our Spinach, Artichoke, and Shrimp dip. The main buffet line will consist of our famous house salad or coleslaw, a generous serving of Seafood Jambalaya or Crawfish Ettouffee or Crawfish Pasta accompanied by, 4-6 catfish fingers, 6-8 boiled shrimp, 6-8 marinated crab fingers or a serving of our chicken supreme for each guest. Our staff will assist with serving the food. The final cost for this menu is $24.50 per person, which is inclusive of tax, gratuity and soft drinks. We will also provide a small dessert for a minimal fee.

Bar Options

With this option, guests will receive a variety of mixed and specialty drinks served by our restaurant. This is based on consumption per person. The total will be added to your bill at the end of the evening.

| Beer and WIne Only |
This option is quite popular as it shows the courtesy of the host and allows your guest to purchase daiquiris and mixed drinks at their expense. A sign of etiquette is posted on the bar, which states

| Other Bar Options |
This option allows the host to provide specific beverages at a
fixed price to work within their budget. We can also provide a cash bar for a set up fee of $25.00

Additional topics you may want to ask about
For a fee of $45.00 white linen table cloths will be provided for all tables. We use quality disposal serving ware, a fee of $50.00 is charged if you choose to use traditional serving ware, glass plates, bar glasses, and silverware. Coffee stations and any other topics can be discussed.
